Recently, attending an incredibly elegant wedding on lake Michigan made me feel a little out of place. Elegance and formality do not inherently make me uncomfortable, I can hold my own with the best of boat-shoe society. The problem was that I have attended so many weddings I kept waiting for one of the usual gaffs, but nothing went wrong. Every moment of this wedding went off without a hitch, and I was left to wonder what anicdote I was going to tell from the wedding over the next week. People don’t care about how gorgeous the center pieces are or how well the DJ captured the mood with each song.
